Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter
What's better than a sirloin steak cooked to perfection on the grill? A sirloin steak cooked to perfection on the grill and then brushed with this yummy butter sauce laced with lots of garlic!
I have made this twice this week and used cheap beef sirloin top sirloin steaks.. This recipe is awesome and I didn't change a thing.. This was our Christmas Eve Dinner.. I used a cast iron skillet on the stove 3 minutes on each side.. My 8 year old had 2.. Yummy!!
I used filet mignon with this recipe. I seared it on a grill and then finished in the oven (10 minutes for medium). The garlic butter sauce added a nice flavor.
I just made this tonight for my husband and he said it was the best he’s had in a long time! I didn’t have any garlic cloves (this was a last minute dinner choice). I also made extra sauce and poured it over the potato wedges I made and wow - talk about delicious!!
It was raining, so I decided to broil my steak instead of grilling it. I did one steak at 5 minutes per side and it came out medium. The steak was about 12oz and I trimmed most of the fat off before cooking it as I was worried about this being too rich with all he butter. Used 2 tbsp butter, about 2 tsp of garlic salt and 2 large cloves of garlic. I didn't use any additional salt because of the garlic salt and forgot to add pepper until I had eaten half of the steak. The pepper helped a bit. It turned out decent. I should have cooked the steak a little longer. The butter/garlic was a bit bland, but I should point out that I'm a garlic nut and usually overdo it. Next time, I plan to try some additional seasoning like Montreal Steak, which I should state that I also have a tendency to overdo. Overall, this recipe is quick and tasty. I have two more steaks in the fridge and I'll definitely be giving this another shot soon...
Oh. My. God. Hands down, the best steak I've ever made myself, and definitely up there with the best steaks I've had. I only had garlic salt on hand, so it was a bit salty, but I know it will be killer with garlic powder instead. I scaled down the recipe for 2 steaks (petite filets, but they were seriously on sale!) and used 1/4 c. butter and 3-4 cloves of garlic finely crushed. I sprinkled some pepper and garlic salt on the steaks before putting them on the grill, and grilled them to about medium. Definitely give them some time to rest and soak up the yummy garlicky flavor! Served with baked potatoes and green beans... yummmmmm!
Delicious! I marinated my steaks in Dale's Seasoning first, seared on the stove top in an iron skillet for 2 minutes on each side over high heat. Then, transferred the steaks to a very hot oven for 6 minutes. Poured the garlic butter over the steaks, wrapped in foil, and let rest for 5 minutes. Will make over and over again!
